ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Evaline—like "Evelyn", but you can call me Eve!
My path into art began with earning a BA in Architecture from Clemson University in 2010. After nearly a decade designing residential interiors, I started exploring other creative avenues. I dabbled briefly in digital design in 2019, and soon found my interest shift to drawing and painting. This led me to enroll in art classes at a local community art center and two semesters of mentorship at SmArt School.
In 2022, I discovered a love for paper art at a paper flower workshop. A newfound passion for combining paper and fiber into art blossomed, leading to the creation of fibers in bloom in 2023 as a platform to share my work. Since then, my practice has evolved from paper flowers to layered pieces that combine embroidery and painting, often using these techniques to navigate themes of identity, self-doubt, and growth.
I’m currently one of the 15 in-house studio artists at Good Art Co., so stop by and check out our space when you’re in Greenville!
When I'm not creating, you can find me "curating" (okay, hoarding) books, watching shows with my husband James, and trying to keep up with our cats, Aria and Bebop.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My work combines fiber, paper, and painting to explore inner thoughts and struggles around value and self-worth. By layering embroidery over abstracted paintings, I examine the contrast between human-made order and abstracted natural forms.
While my earlier pieces focused on floriography and paper flowers, my current work uses the repetitive, meditative act of stitching to navigate internal struggles and reclaim value and self-worth.
